These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of cultivationnetwork.ca (the “Site”) and your membership with the Cultivation Network of Canada (“CNC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing the Site or becoming a member, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Membership
CNC membership is available in tiers (Individual, Household, and Corporate), each with its own pricing and benefits as described on our Join/Support the Network pages. Membership benefits include access to Cultivation magazine (print and digital), seminars, roundtables, event recordings, and the members’ forum, as applicable to your tier.
Membership is personal to the individual or household named at sign-up and may not be transferred, shared, or resold.
2. Payments and Billing
Membership fees are billed on the schedule selected at sign-up (annual or monthly) and processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize CNC to charge the applicable fees on a recurring basis until you cancel. It is your responsibility to keep your payment information current.

3. Acceptable Use
When using the Site, participating in the members’ forum, or attending seminars and roundtables, you agree not to:
- Post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or infringes on others’ rights
- Impersonate any person or organization
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other members’ accounts, or CNC systems
- Use the Site or member programming for commercial solicitation not authorized by CNC
- Share paywalled content (e.g., event recordings, digital magazine issues) outside of your household membership
CNC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership, without refund, for violations of these Terms.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
All content published by CNC — including Cultivation magazine, 10 Neat Things, seminar and roundtable recordings, and original Site content — is the property of CNC or its contributors and is protected by copyright. Members may access this content for personal, non-commercial use only. Reproduction, redistribution, or public posting of CNC content without prior written permission is prohibited.
Content submitted by members to the forum or in comments remains the property of the member, but by posting, you grant CNC a non-exclusive license to display, moderate, and archive that content in connection with our programming.
5. Editorial Content Is General Information, Not Professional Advice
CNC strives to ensure that content published in Cultivation magazine, 10 Neat Things, and our seminars and roundtables is checked against current scientific consensus and reflects sound horticultural research. However, this content is provided for general educational and informational purposes about gardening and horticulture. It is not a substitute for professional agronomic, horticultural, or environmental advice specific to your property, climate, or circumstances, and growing conditions can vary widely. CNC is not responsible for outcomes resulting from the application of general gardening information to your specific situation.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CNC and its directors, staff, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, your membership, or reliance on content we publish. Our total liability for any claim arising from your membership will not exceed the amount you paid to CNC in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
You may cancel your membership at any time (see Refund & Cancellation Policy). CNC may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or member programming if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to CNC, its members, or its mission.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [province, e.g., Manitoba] and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to members by email or Site notice. Continued use of the Site or membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
