Canada lacks a national body for evidence-based gardening.
Let’s build it.
There is an evidence gap in everyday gardening.
There is regional fragmentation across Canada. Does what you see on social media sites work in your garden? Or is it meant for someone in another province or the US?
We are at the centre of accelerating change, from invasive plants and pollinator decline to shifting plant performance under longer seasons, drought and extreme weather. Public discussion is often polarized, and there is no coordinated, regionally structured national voice translating these ecological shifts into practical, evidence-based guidance for home landscapes.
So yeah… let’s build it.

How do we build it?

The Cultivation Network gathers evidence, expertise and experience from across Canada and shares it through this website, a new magazine and other communication channels. We don’t tell gardeners what to think. We make credible information easier to access, easier to understand and easier to discuss.
